Where does our sense of right and wrong come from? Many separated societies have seemed to converge upon similar rules for behaviour throughout history. Our primate cousins and many other animals show empathy, cooperation, and a sense of fairness. Being kind and supportive comes naturally when reciprocity, empathy, compassion, and trust are the foundations of our relationships.
